She received her master’s degree in counseling from George Mason University, and completed a post-master’s certification program in marriage and family therapy at Virginia Tech. She provides counseling to individual adults, couples, and families. Counseling services treat many problems, including mood disorders, anxiety disorders, spiritual issues, trauma, abuse, and cultural adjustment issues. She also provides premarital and marriage therapy. Therapy can be provided in Arabic.

Ms. Abugideiri practices therapy guided by Islamic ethics and values, while also adhering to the highest professional standards. Being Muslim does not prevent people from having problems in their lives; however, counseling can help clients access resources from within their faith and religious teachings to help overcome and better cope with these challenges. In addition, clients can learn many skills and tools to resolve conflicts, improve communication, and improve emotional well-being.
